Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) announces the opening of its new branch in the historic downtown of Paris, Texas, as part of its expansion into the state’s northeast region.
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown at 11 S. Plaza, the new location features the same full-service banking experience available at all other CUTX locations, including an interactive teller machine (ITM) serviced by live, virtual tellers, and public access to a no-fee automated teller machine (ATM).
The branch is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We are excited to announce the opening of our new branch in Paris,” said Eric Pointer, President and CEO of CUTX. “This new location allows us to extend our personalized, community-centric financial services into northeast Texas. At CUTX, we are deeply committed to investing in the communities we serve, supporting teachers, first responders, non-profits, and many more. Our dedication to community engagement, coupled with our innovative services and technology, will provide the residents of Paris the opportunity to bank with purpose and make a meaningful impact together.”
In celebration of its new branch and its commitment to the Paris community, CUTX will host a grand opening event in downtown Paris from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 8. The free, public event will include complimentary food from CUTX’s own food truck, Community Grill, along with a DJ and a variety of children’s activities such as face painting, a petting zoo, a photo booth with a hot air basket and snow cones. The event will also feature performances from the Paris, Chisum and North Lamar High School drumline and cheer teams, as well as a raffle for a TV, iPad and $1,000 in gift cards to local businesses.
Additionally, in support of children’s advocacy, one of CUTX’s five foundational pillars, and in partnership with the Children’s Advocacy Center of Paris, a dunk tank will be set up at the event. CUTX will donate $10 to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Paris for each on-target dunking, with a maximum of $1,000.
The new location continues CUTX’s growth outside its North Texas headquarters, with branches now in Paris and Gilmer and a commercial solutions center in Gilmer. By the end of 2024, CUTX plans to open branches in Bonham, Kilgore, Lindale and Sulphur Springs.
