As 2020 has been a “very tough year,” the tradition of driving by and watching Lights for Darlene continues Thanksgiving Night.
“We are still bringing some light to help brighten things up just a bit,” Brad Ford wrote on Lights for Darlene’s website. “This year I’ve been hard at work adding more songs, pixels and effects to make the show better than ever. Special thanks to Jason and Stacy Parnell for hosting Lights For Darlene again. Y’all are very much appreciated.”
The light show begins at 5:30 p.m. each night and runs until 11 p.m. on weekdays and until 12 a.m. (midnight) on weekends throughout New Year’s Eve.
For a chance to win $200, guess how many lights Lights for Darlene uses the closest. However, the person within 50 lights can win $300.
For the light guessing contest, it is one guess per person. Write a name and phone number on a piece of paper and drop it in the box near the lightship.
Lights for Darlene light show is at 5230 Williams Road in Reno.
“Coming out of Paris on Pine Mill Road, take a left on Hampton then your first left on Williams,” the organization said on social media. “It’s important to come from this direction because it is a directional display.”
