The 11th Annual Christmas Parade will be slightly different, as the parade itself comes to a stand-still.
According to the Paris Downtown Association, floats for the Reverse Christmas Parade, set for Dec. 5, will remain static as spectators drive by.
“This event is for our community and we wanted to do our part to keep our community safe,” Paris Downtown Association posted on its site. “We hope you’ll mark your calendars and plan to drive through. We look forward to bringing some much needed Christmas Cheer to our community.”

The organization asks participants to register as soon as possible as, “we have a lot of additional planning we have to do for floats this year so last-minute sign-ups will be very difficult on our volunteers.”
The parade will be lined up along North Main Street near the Lamar County Courthouse, turns left onto Graham Street, left again onto 1st St. N.W., proceeds to 1st St. S.W., left on East Sherman Street, back up South Main Street and turns right onto Clarksville Streets.
Floats will be lined up from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.
