While there have been no new cases of COVID-19 in Lamar County, on Tuesday officials reported a significant drop in those being quarantined/monitored.
The Lamar County Covid-19 Joint Information Center posted the update to their Facebook page stating, “The number of our residents in quarantine/being monitored has significantly decreased due to the 14-day period expiring for those cases.”
Since the start of the pandemic, there are 7 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Lamar County, however, if or when those cases were cleared by health officials has yet to been confirmed. To date, 20 tests have been performed, reported by the Paris-Lamar County Health District and there have been zero deaths.
