On July 3rd, 2024, Wilma Love, 81, of Paris, Texas passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 30, 1942 in Brownfield, Texas.
Survived by her daughters: Kristi Love, Kelly Love, and Holly Love-Henderson. Grand-children: Emme Love, Morgan Lamb-Drake, Bay Lamb, Bethany Love-Roberts, Brittany Thompson, Jordon Love, and several great grand-children. She also leaves behind two son-in-laws, Kendall Holback and Matt Henderson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Weldon Love Jr, a daughter, Sue Thompson-Parr, also numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mama spent her time sitting outside enjoying the sun, watching game shows, cooking for her family, having unforgettable conversations at the dinner table, sometimes laughing so hard until your stomach hurt, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Jazzy and Chevy, who are our fur babies, never left her side. I know she would want her family to keep making memories together. The funny stories that have happened over the years are some of the best.
In the last two years, Wilma spent a lot of time with her future daughter-in-law, Brandy Jones. The bond they created and the time they spent getting to know one another was very special. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for mama. When she said, I need you, Brandy dropped everything and said I’m on my way mama. Being able to watch them share their last few days together was precious.
Mama, we will carry your memory in our hearts forever. Never stop dancing while you cook with those you love. Besides laughing, mama loved to dance.
Please keep our family in your prayers. We would like to send our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Morgan, Diana, Jennifer, and Lauren of Waterford Hospice. Thank you for being so kind and caring to our mama.
