Wilma “Louise” Thomas, 94, of Sumner, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Paris Regional Health.
A celebration of her life has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4th at Breakthrough Church. A time of fellowship, food, and games will follow the service. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thomas, the daughter of Walter Worthey & Clara Crutchfield Worthey, was born Dec. 7, 1928, in Fannin County, TX.
She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Women’s Bowling League. Wilma was a BINGO player extraordinaire, and from Wednesday – Sunday that was her delight.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings, Aubrey Worthey, Margie Havens, Addie Lane, Elwanda Blackshear, and David Worthey.
Survivors include four children, Tommy Speed, Gwenda Penny, Norma Franklin, and Jackie Speed, three step-children, Kenneth Thomas & wife Pat, Roy Thomas & wife Elaine, and Sheryl Ashley, 14 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren along with a number of nieces & nephews.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Brentwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Laura Janes, Kanion Jones, Reece, and Kim for the exceptional care and attention given their loved one.
