Wavia Joan Nutt, 86, was called home by God in the early morning on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at her home while surrounded by her loving family.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Evers officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Nutt, the daughter of Earl & Rena Darnell Phillips, was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Boswell, OK. She worked several years at the crate factory before beginning her career at Hollywood Vasarette which spanned a number of years. Wavia and her husband, Ernest, owned and managed several rental properties in Paris.
Wavia was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Ernest Nutt, daughters; Paula Archer & husband Ronnie, Barbara Partridge & husband Paul and Renee Young, grandchildren; Jeff Coursey & wife Kelli, Randy Jordan & wife Vicky, Tammy Clark & husband John, Andy Spear & wife Katy, and Stephanie Talbert & husband Spencer, 17 great grandchildren; Dalton Coursey, Lauren Coursey, Skylar Coursey, Hunter Westbrooks, Brittanie Westbrooks, Mallory Spear, Hayden Todd, Madison Todd, Tanner Spear, Haley Jordan, Raven Jordan, Scottie Rhodes, Shelbie Rhodes, Mackenzie Rangel, Hannah Basinger, Caleb Clark & Jude Talbert, five great great grandchildren; Amiyah Johnson, Ben Dollins, Abby Dollins, Sophia Rangel, Theadore Rangel & Anleigh Howery, a sister, Minnie Porter along with many nieces & nephews and a host of friends. Wavia’s family was everything to her, and she will be dearly missed by all.
Casket bearers will be: Dalton Coursey, Hayden Todd, John Clark, Caleb Clark, Oscar Rangel and Spencer Talbert.
