In preparation for the anticipated winter storm this weekend, the United Way of Lamar County, along with other nonprofit organizations in Paris, will have warming centers set up for those in need.
The Salvation Army, 350 W. Kaufman, will be providing overnight shelter. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. and check-out is 7 a.m.
Volunteers are needed at this location from 4 – 6 p.m. to help cook and 4 – 10 p.m.
There are two locations for daytime warming centers.
CitySquare , 2515 Bonham Street, on Saturday from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Inner City Ministries, 662 Bonham Street, on Saturday from 1 – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
