The United Way of Lamar County (UWLC) will hold its final Report Out Meeting of this year’s Fall Campaign tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13th at 9am at the The Children’s Advocacy Center of Paris. The brief breakfast meeting will be in the CAC’s Red Brick House – entrance is on the east side between the two houses.
UWLC Executive Director, Jenny Wilson, explains “This year our goal was $625,000 to support our 20 partner agencies. We are so incredibly grateful to all of our donors and the volunteers who do an amazing job running our workplaces campaigns. This community is incredibly generous and we are excited to reveal if we reached our goal.”
The 20 partner agencies that will receive UWLC funding in 2025 include The Salvation Army ($51,000); Downtown Food Pantry ($48,000); The King’s Daughters ($44,000); American Red Cross ($22,000); Boys & Girls Club ($77,500); Habitat for Humanity ($20,000); Home Stay ($1000); Paris Metro ($11,000); REACH Center ($60,000); Children’s Advocacy Center ($27,000); CASA for Kids ($20,000); Lamar County Child Welfare Board ($24,000); Tailored Rides ($10,000); Lamar County Literacy Council ($10,000); Imagination Library ($10,000); Paris Community Theatre ($17,500); C.E.R.T. ($4000); RSVP ($7000); Keep Paris Beautiful ($6000); Paris Wesley Center ($5000)
Wilson adds, “It is not too late to donate to this year’s Campaign and support our community. You can make a donation online at www.lamarcountyuw.org or mail in your gift to PO Box 1, Paris TX 75461 or drop it off at our office, located at 2340 Lamar Avenue.”
Please bring a box or two of stuffing to the meeting, if you can, for the Downtown Food Pantry annual stuffing drive.
