On Nov. 9, the department received a call of an intoxicated driver in the 2000 block of S. Collegiate. The suspect vehicle was located, observed, and then stopped in the 900 block of Clarksville St. Officers made contact with Justin Wayne Craven (37) who was found to be driving the vehicle. Craven was given field test and determined to be intoxicated. Craven had two children in the vehicle with him ages six and eight. Craven was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, a State Jail Felony. The children were released to another family member.
On Nov. 8, Caressa Desiray Dawson (34) was arrested in the 100 block of Pine Bluff after officers observing her there recognized her and knew of her being wanted on outstanding criminal charges. Dawson was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle as well as a Motion to Revoke her Probation. Dawson had stolen a vehicle from the Salvation Army Parking lot on June 11, 2024. The vehicle was recovered later in the parking lot of Dawson’s apartment. She was arrested without incident.
Officers made 29 traffic stops, 10 adult arrest, and answered 257 calls for service for this reporting period.
