U.S. Marine Corporal Colton Wise with Kilo Battery, 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment spoke to the fourth graders at Aaron Parker Elementary on Monday.
His message of the importance of education resonated as he told the students math, science, history and reading are things he uses every day in his career.
He talked about having GRIT and never giving up on goals.
