The 41st annual Tour de Paris will take place this weekend, July 19, with over 1,700 cyclists and volunteers expected to participate.
The event, which began in 1984, will feature multiple routes that are tailored to riders of all skill levels.
These include the 14 & 24 mile off-road on the Northeast Texas Trail and the 22, 35, 57, 68, and 80-mile county routes.
Cyclists can still enter on the day of the event — adults are $60, 12 and under are $30 and tandem is $80.
There will be a spaghetti supper on Friday at 5 p.m. for $5 and pancake breakfast on Saturday at 6 a.m.
The official start will take place at 8 a.m. and packet pick-up and after ride activities will be held at the Love Civic Center.
- Bikes must be in good working order.
- Helmets are required anytime you are on the bicycle.
- Riders are encouraged to carry their own water bottle, pumps, tubes and tools. Water is available at start / finish and all Rest Stops.
- Riders are responsible for their own repairs.
