One of Paris’ emergency sirens had activated multiple times with no emergency weather in the area at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
The emergency siren located in the 3300 block of Lamar Ave. had activated at about 1:50 a.m. and once again at about 2:10 a.m.
“Since no emergency weather was in the immediate area, and the siren had not been activated by the authorities, it was found that ants had invaded the electrical control box and had shorted out the circuit board,” according to officials.
The siren in the 3300 block of Lamar Ave. has been deactivated until necessary repairs can be made.
