Tonda Lea Kelley, the “crazy little waitress” from Ward’s Restaurant, age 60, passed away Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at Paris Regional Medical Center after a long courageous battle with cancer. Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors will conduct funeral services 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019, in the Gene Roden Memorial Chapel with Bro. Kyle Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the funeral home.
Tonda was born June 18, 1958 to Otis Huff and Mona Barfield-Deutsch in Odessa, Texas. She was a servant at heart and a waitress by trade. In the 1990’s, Tonda and her mother-in-law were joint owners of South Main Café. To many she was known as the “crazy little waitress,” from Ward’s Restaurant. Tonda was a Christian who loved the Lord and coffee, sometimes in equal amounts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Kelley; her parents, and a sister, Renea Lester.
She is survived by daughters, Laurie Briscoe, and husband, Cam; Angie Moore, and husband, Lesley; Cheryl Sanders, and husband, John, all of Paris; a son, Richard Latham, of Paris; brothers, Carl Huff, and wife, Nancy; and Mike Huff; grandchildren, Alexis Naron, and husband, Andrew; Jared Mathews, Rayce Briscoe, Jayce Briscoe, Alysa Moore, Owen Moore, Caleb Latham, Cameron Fields, Kyleigh Fields, Joseph Latham, and expectant Brent Latham; a great-grandson, Liam Naron; a best friend, Mishelle Stidham; a special friend, Brian Foster; many extended family and adoptive family, as well as, her special family from Ward’s.
Named to serve as pallbearers will be Lesley Moore, Owen Moore, Cam Briscoe, Rayce Briscoe, John Sanders, Jared Mathews, and honorary pallbearers, Cameron Fields.
