Tommy Jenkins, 81, passed away on Oct. 5, 2025, in Paris, Texas, the same town where he was born on June 22, 1944.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8th at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Norris officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-7 p.m.
Tommy proudly served in the Texas National Guard, demonstrating a commitment to his state and country that reflected his strong sense of duty. Throughout his life, he found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful connections. He was a familiar face at McKee’s, where he loved to drink coffee and share stories with friends. A devoted fan of the Texas Rangers, Tommy rarely missed a game and cheered on his team with unwavering enthusiasm.
Family was central to Tommy’s life. He is remembered with love by his son, Thomas Jenkins and wife Tammy, daughters, Vicki Jansson and Kathy Watson; and bonus daughters Brandi Basham and Sherry Walker. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Randal Jansson, Dakota Jenkins, Kristen Ramires, Jayce Garcia, Noah Jansson, Shelby Jenkins, and Daysen Watson and great grandchildren, Tony, Lorelei, Kaleby, Brayleigh, Karson, and Elaine along with many nieces and nephews. He also shared many cherished years with his longtime girlfriend, Joyce Ring.
Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna Jenkins; parents James Jenkins and Frances Mealey; siblings Jim Jenkins, Carol Rhodes, Pat Hines, and Mickey Jenkins and a granddaughter, Lacey Jenkins.
