At the last Board of Directors Meeting of the United Way of Lamar County, three new board members were elected to serve – Clint Cheatwood, Corey Fagan and MihirMark” Pankaj.

Clint Cheatwood has been a resident of Lamar County for 8 years and is originally from the Bogata/Cuthand area in Red River County. He is the Quality Management Systems Leader at Kimberly-Clark where he has been employed for the past 12 years. Clint is married to Kayla Cheatwood who is the Purchasing Officer for the Paris Independent School District. Clint and Kayla have been married for 13 years and reside in Reno with their daughter Emma who is a 4th grader at Aikin Elementary. He is looking forward to the opportunity to serve his community through the United Way.

Corey Fagan, although not originally from Lamar County, married a native Parisian and therefore considers himself one by proxy. He, his wife Jenny and their three children (8, 5, and 2) have lived in Lamar County the past four years this time. Corey, a registered nurse for 17 years, has spent the majority of those years in the emergency department setting and in leadership roles. He selected this career as he enjoys helping others and gets satisfaction in mentoring new nurses and staff members. Through his Administrator role at Quality Care ER and collaboration with the SANE program, he developed a great working relationship with the Children’s Advocacy Center, where he currently serves as a board member. He and his wife of 10 years enjoy doing outdoors activities like hiking, attending church at Calvary Chapel, and just spending time together as a family.

“Mihir “Mark” Pankaj has been a resident of Paris, TX for the past 26 years. He’s a graduate of North Lamar Class of ‘07, and a graduate of Baylor University Class of ‘12 where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Philosophy and minored in Chemistry. He was formerly a medical student who has now transitioned into a hotelier. Mihir’s focus is now on his Family, his hotels (Days Inn & Hampton Inn), and wants to be able to make an impact in the community. He is extremely excited to be able to serve on the United Way board, and wants to be able to contribute ideas and help make United Way even better.”

Other members of the United Way Board of Directors include Robin Kennedy (President), Angela Chadwick (Vice President), Trey Glascock (Past President), Neta Painter (Treasurer), Rudy Kessel, Julia Trigg Crawford, Kelly Moss, Maggie Kerby, Ayesha Shafiq, Lisa Walker, Zach Saffle, Matt Frierson, Brenda Wells, David Beyleryan, and Don Dickerson.
