Three New Board Members at the United Way of Lamar County

The United Way of Lamar County recently announced that three new board members have been selected to join their Board of Directors – Laurie Redus, Kandace Davidson and Shelley Landers.

Laurie Redus was born and raised here in Paris. She is a graduate of Paris High School and holds a BBA in Accounting from East Texas State University and an MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She has worked for Campbell Soup Company for 31 years in a variety of management positions, including assignments in the Finance, Supply Chain and Industrial Engineering departments. She currently works as the Manager of Logistics for the plant.

Laurie has served in leadership positions with many local community organizations. She has been a member of Greater Paris Rotary Club and has served on the Board of Directors of Leadership Lamar County and the Children’s Advocacy Center. She currently serves on the Lamar and Red River County Crimestoppers Board, the Paris Main Street Advisory Board and the United Way of Paris Board. She is married to Mike Redus and they have one son, Cody, who currently attends Texas A&M University in College Station.

 

Kandace Davidson has been a Lamar County resident her entire life. She graduated from Prairiland High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Paris Junior College. Davidson is currently a Loan Review Specialist at First Federal Community Bank, where she has been employed for over 7 years. She has one daughter, Kyndal Reese Davidson, who is her pride and joy. Kandace was a 2017-2018 graduate of the Leadership Lamar County program, where she found a true desire to give back to her community. She is active in her home church and has a passion for serving others. Davidson has worked as a volunteer for various local non-profit agencies in Lamar County, and finds great joy in giving back to the town that built her. For fun, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

 

Shelley Landers, a native of Lamar County, graduated from Prairiland High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. She taught for nine years at both Amy Parks Elementary School in Rockwall and at Higgins Elementary at North Lamar ISD. She is married to Jon Landers, is mom to three boys; Paul, Adam, and Jon Ryan, and all are active members of First United Methodist Church.

 

In addition to serving as past Children’s Director at First Methodist, other community involvement includes the North Lamar PTO, Gala Co-ordinator for the St. Joseph’s Foundation, and volunteering at New Hope Center and City Square. Shelley loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and also enjoys the Trail de Paris.
