Those who want to vote in the upcoming March primary elections and aren’t registered to do so, need to by Monday, Jan. 31.
In Texas, you must complete a voter registration form and return it to the county election office at least 30 days before the upcoming election date. You can register to vote by mail or in person. Texas does not offer online voter registration,
The Lamar County Services Building is located at 231 Lamar Avenue in downtown Paris.
To register to vote by mail:
- Fill out the online Texas voter registration application, print it, and send the completed form to your county voter registration official; or
- Obtain a printed application from your county Voter Registrar’s office or pick one up at libraries, government offices, or high schools, then fill it out, and send to your county voter registration official.
Applications sent by mail must be postmarked by the Jan. 31 voter registration deadline. Texas is an open primary state, so voters cannot register with a particular party. Voters can choose either party’s primary to vote in, but not both.
