Stone Middle School science winners to compete at region

Twelve will represent North Lamar

Stone Middle School held a science fair for the sixth, seventh and eighth grade students on Tuesday to see who will compete at region. The top four from each grade will represent North Lamar ISD at the Region 8 ESC Science Fair on January 31 in Pittsburg.

Eighth grade winners, pictured in order of win, are first place Emeline Del Toro with ‘Can Athletes Legally Cheat Their Way to Victory?’, second place Haley O’Neal with ‘Where are the Most Germs in My House?’, third place Emmalee Michael with ‘A Solid Thread’ and fourth place Joy Greenwell with ‘Grow to the Light’.

Seventh grade winners are first place Zoe Felsberg with ’Stain Be Gone’, second place Roselyn Spencer with ‘Do Plants Need More Personal Space?’, third place Amberlee Freelan with ‘Drink More Milk’, and fourth place Kylie Crawford with ‘Burning Trees’.

Sixth grade winners are first place Rory Stewart with ‘Pond Water Purifier’, second place Carter Sullivan with ‘What Household Cleaners are the Most Effective at Killing Bacteria?’, third place Olivia Thomas with ‘Unplugged – To Charge or Not To Charge’ and fourth place Braden Collar with ‘Making Electricity with Potatoes’.
