Stanley Howard Christain, 64, of Pattonville, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21st, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Michael McGuire officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Old Shamrock Cemetery in Red River County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Stanley, the son of James & Dorothy McGuire Christain, was born Oct. 4, 1953, in Paris.
He attended Paris Schools. His service to our country began in 1971, when he joined the United States Navy where he served until 1975, when he was honorably discharged. Upon returning to Lamar County he became a carpenter for the remainder of his career.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Miranda Babcock & husband Jessie of Hugo, OK, grandchildren; Jessica and Dakota Babcock, three brothers; James Lee Christain of Paris, Bobby Don Christain of Paris and Bennie Joe Christain of Burnet, one sister, Cheryl Stogsdill & husband Calvin of Paris, nephews & niece; Patrick Christain, Deanna Dobbs, Joseph Christain, Zach Renfro, Tyler Renfro and Brandon Renfro.
