Six North Lamar FFA Officers proudly represented their school at the 96th Annual Texas FFA Convention held this past week in Houston, Texas.
Despite delays and closures caused by Hurricane Beryl, students had a fantastic time, making memories and participating in an event with students from all across Texas in attendance.
Michelle Cooper represented North Lamar FFA exceptionally well at the State FFA Rodeo on Sunday, placing 24th out of 70 in barrel racing. Her performance showcased her dedication and talent, making our school community proud.
The convention featured numerous keynote speakers, such as Granger Smith, and state candidates who inspired students with their motivational addresses. In between sessions, our FFA officers took the opportunity to explore Houston, attending a Houston Astros game and visiting the Houston Aquarium.
This experience not only provided our students with valuable leadership and educational opportunities but also allowed them to bond and create lasting memories. North Lamar is incredibly proud of our FFA officer and members, as well as their achievements, at this year’s convention.
