A new roller coaster, featuring 90-degree drops, more than 60 mph and a splashdown is coming to Six Flags Over Texas.
Initially expected to open in 2020, the Aquaman: Power Wave will debut at the Arlington park on March 11, just in time for Spring Break. The first-of-its-kind water coaster will be the park’s 14th coaster and its first one to open since 2017.
According to Six Flags Over Texas, AQUAMAN: Power Wave is a launch-style coaster that suspends riders in a 90° angle before hurtling them across the more than 700 feet of track at 63 miles per hour.
The ride will launch riders back backwards and forwards, straight up colossal 148 feet twin track towers and then send them plunging straight down more than 700 feet of track.
After reaching a top speed of 63 mph, the water coaster will send riders towards the ultimate massive splash.
