After working diligently for about two years, Texas 2A “MAN”TIQUE in Reno is proud to announce they will be partnering with the New Hampshire-based firearms company Sig Sauer to turn the store into Texas 2A “MAN”TIQUE Sig Superstore.
“There have been lots of licensing, conversations, time and money that have taken place to make this a reality – not just for us, but for Reno and the surrounding area.” said Jeff Padier, owner and operator of Texas 2A “MAN”TIQUE.
Padier said Sig Sauer is a world renowned firearm, and are the weapons of choice for many premier global military, law enforcement and commercial users.
“We are extremely excited to partner with Sig. Personally, we love Sig and their products – not just firearms,” he said. “The possibility for growth is endless. The Reno community seems excited. The Reno City council has been so supportive of this move for Texas 2A ‘MAN’TIQUE.”
Store patrons can soon expect to see Sig Sauer merchandise from Sig Optics to Sig ammo and more, not to mention the top of the line Sig Firearms. Padier said Sig even offers comprehensive training for everyone in firearm safety from beginners to experts.
“Although the partnership with Sig has taken some time, we have always wanted to bring a business of this sort to Reno,” he said. “When we first got our location, there was already a gun store there- D&D Guns. We decided at that time, to just stick with a mens gift store, out of respect for the other business.”
Padier said they didn’t want to build something on top of someone else, and have the other business feel like they were stepping on their toes – “it would’ve felt tacky and rude.”
“We are firm believers that we should all respect each other,” he said, “whether it be in business or personal life.”
Padier said at some point they expect to outgrow their current 6325 Lamar Ave. location as “there are many exciting ideas and future projects that are in the works.
“We look forward to a lot of exciting events and interactive shows in the very near future. We look forward to having a robust staff in the future,” Padier said. “We would also like to invite everyone to like us on Facebook and come out to see us across from Larry’s Overhead Doors, at 6325 Lamar Ave.”
Padier said the grand re-opening has not been set yet, but is projected for mid-April.
