Sherry A. Slaughter, 69 of Paris, passed away at 5:20 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Funeral services have been set for Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Graham officiating. A private interment will follow at Garrett’s Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
She was born in Paris, Texas on May 15, 1950 to W.H. and Bessie Hervey Parson. She married Doyle Slaughter on July 18, 1969. She was a member of Emberson Baptist Church. Sherry had a huge heart, was very generous, and giving. She was a mother not only to her own, but to those she claimed as her own. She was very kind, she loved with her whole heart and was a very accepting person.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy Slaughter of Paris, Kimberly Cruz and husband Juan of San Antonio; grandchildren, Emily Echols, Breanna Slaughter-Simpson and husband Nicholas, Zachary Jasso and Kalie Cruz; great-grandson, Rebel Harvey; siblings, Terry Parson and wife Peggy, Cathy Graham and husband Jack; sister-in-law, Yvonne Parson; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Slaughter; parents, W.H. and Bessie Parson; brother, Kennith Parson.
