Sherman Police Officer Anderson and his K9 partner recently competed on season three of America’s Top Dog and will be featured on the premiere episode airing this Saturday, Sept. 18 on A&E at 11 a.m.
America’s Top Dog features police and civilian K-9 teams who are tested on their speed, agility, scenting ability and teamwork by completing a series of tasks on obstacle courses designed by experts to mimic real-life challenges that the furry heroes face every day on the beat.
In the premiere episode, five dogs repping the red, white and blue run the Canine Combine; a frisbee fanatic border collie, a water fearing Doberman, a tiny but feisty terrier, a movie star German Shepard, and a police K9 but only three move on to the Dog House for a chance to win the Top Dog title.
The Sherman Police Department will be hosting a watch party at 2 p.m. at Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille in the Bill’s Grille and Bar area and invite everyone to join.
