Davarrious Demone Brown, 26 of Paris, was charged with murder after police investigated a shooting that took place on Sept. 28. Brown was booked into the jail on Oct. 1, 2021.
According to Lamar County Jail records, Brown is being held on $307,300 worth of bonds, one of which is $250,000 for a murder charge. No bond has been set for Brown’s motion to revoke/deadly conduct discharge of a firearm charge.
Brown was previously arrested on May 18, 2021, and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and bond surrender/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3, less than 28 grams, where his bond was $37,500. Brown was released from custody on Aug. 13, 2021.
The life of 35-year-old Keith Joseph Mann was claimed shortly after 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 28 when he suffered gunshot wounds near the 900 block of E. Hickory Street.
“It was reported that this victim had been shot while in the 900 block of E. Hickory St and was driven to the E. Booth location to get away from the shooting,” said Curtis Garret, Paris Police Department information officer. “The victim was later pronounced deceased at (Paris Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room).”
