Sandra Sue (Arnold) Sulsar, 82, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at her home following a lengthy battle with dementia.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home thirty minutes prior to the service.
She was born Dec. 11, 1943, in Oakland, CA, the daughter of Elmer Arnold and Doris Hazel Osbourn Arnold.
Sandra Sue Arnold married Howard Sulsar at the age of 14, the same day she graduated from 8th grade. Their first child, Edward, was born when she was 15 and by the time she was 27, she’d given birth to 6 kids. Most of her early adulthood she was a stay at home mom, devoting her life to her family. She always had a houseful of kids, including neighborhood kids and cousins. She cooked 3 meals a day from scratch. Even though we were poor, she could make a meal that would feed whoever happened to be there. We had homemade biscuits, gravy and pinto beans etc.
She went to work at Kroger at the age of 35 and she worked there for 37 years. She retired comfortably with a meat market retirement, a deli retirement and social security, all on an 8th grade education.
She loved all sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Win or lose she was a Cowboys fan.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Donny Ray Sulsar, Edward Lynn Sulsar, and Andy Wayne Sulsar, a grandson, Jerred DeWayne Sulsar and a brother, Randy Arnold.
Survivors include three children, Sandy Deupree and husband Alan, Tammy Sulsar and best friend Robbie Pyles, and Tony Sulsar and wife Ann, grandchildren, Jessica Roberts, Chris Yates, Chad Yates, Kerri Higgs, Britney McElyea, Shelby Ford, Brianna Gibson, Breeonna Overman, Katie Delcol, and Hunter Malone, numerous great grandchildren, and a brother, Glenn Arnold along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
