On Feb. 28, Officers arrested Cody Wayne Shaw (42) at Wal Mart for theft. During a search, Shaw was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, which was secreted in his sock. He was charged with the misdemeanor theft as well as Possession of Controlled Substance.
On Feb. 28, Officers of the Paris Police Department Criminal Investigation Division conducted a search warrant in the 1200 block of 17th NE. During the search of the residence, Cocaine and Marijuana were discovered. Kenndall Cheraill Johnson (35) and Davion Donzel Harrison (38) were both arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.
On Feb. 28, Officers resonded to the 100 block of NW 24th in reference to a disturbance. They met with the complainant, who told them that he wanted Kyce Josette Woods (21) to leave the residence. Woods, who did not live at the residence, refused to leave, even after being informed of the consequences of failure to leave by officers. Woods was eventually placed under arrest for Criminal Trespassing at a habitation, booked and placed in Lamar County Jail.
On Feb. 28, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 10 block of SW 32nd. They made contact with a victim who advised that another family member had assaulted them by striking them on the head with a wooden walking stick. Officers observed injuries to the victim’s head. Victim also had other injuries indicating that they had been assaulted. The suspect had left the scene. A protective order was requested on behalf of the victim and the investigation will continue.
