Next time you’re visiting Reno Kiwanis Park make sure you check out the new workout equipment.

The Reno Parks and Trail Committee recently added a cross-trainer, pull-up bars, and leg-press.

“We’re really excited to be able to expand usage of the park with new exercise equipment for adults,” said Reno Parks and Trail Committee Member Phyllis Bryan. “Mom and Dad can bring the little ones to play in the playground area, and get their own workouts while watching the kids play.”

Amanda Willows, also with the Reno Parks and Trail Committee, said it’s an ideal addition for those who come to Reno to exercise.

“We have the walking track and now have this great equipment to add to the workout experience,” said Willows. “We have also placed it in an area that provides easy access for those who need to use the equipment for therapeutic purposes.”

The new fitness equipment is close to the water fountain and new bathrooms.

“Reno Kiwanis Park is a peaceful and safe place to work out and its free.”
