As the Paris Fire Department readies to say goodbye to their fallen brother, Slade Baker, regional fire departments stepped up to help out.

Firefighters from Allen, McKinney , Greenville and Plano Fire Departments helped staff Paris firehouses today while local firefighters attended Baker’s funeral in Blanchard, Louisiana.

The men said they were honored to help out the Paris Fire Department so their brothers could bid their final farewell to Slade knowing that their community is in safe hands.

13 firefighters volunteered their time to ensure all three stations in Lamar County were fully manned.

“We want to thank Allen FD, McKinney FD, Greenville FD and Plano FD for allowing our department’s members attend our fallen brother’s funeral. They are helping staff our equipment today while some of our members are attending the funeral,” said Paris Fire Department.
