If you happen to be driving past the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ this evening between 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. show your support and honk your horn for National Police Week.
Lamar County LEO wives will be gathering together to show their support for the husbands and LEO family with a rally on the corner of Lamar Avenue and Loop 286 on the lawn in front of the church.
“We wanted to do the rally to show our Law Enforcement our love and support,” said LEO wife Cathleen Padier. “Even though we live in an awesome community where people tell them how much they appreciate them, it helps to show it too. It is easy for their moral to get down with everything they go through.”
“We band together to show positive support as a whole law enforcement unit, even though we support them every day,” said LEO wife Melissa Jernigan, “We are the heart behind the badge.”
If you want to join in the rally, stop by the church at 6 p.m. and feel free to make a sign or just join in for support.
“The more people we can get to come the better it is for our LEO’s,” added Cathleen.
