Paris Junior College held its annual Veterans Day Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 11. As part of the ceremony in the DeShong Chapel, PJC student Kallyn Rhodes performed the National Anthem and student Rebekah Briggs read her original poem on military service, “My Mother.”
Afterward, the ceremony moved outside and attendees followed students (from left) Rachel Roebuck, Iyana Cole and Andrew Carr, who carried the U.S. and Texas flags and a memorial wreath to the PJC Veterans Memorial. PJC alumnus and current employee James Humphreys then played “Taps.”
