The SkillsUSA team from Paris High School’s Career & Technology Education Department recently brought home 17 gold, silver and bronze medals and one blue ribbon from the SkillsUSA District 5 competition at TSTC Waco.
Students who placed first and second advance to the SkillsUSA State Competition to be held April 5-8 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The students competed in 16 different contests as individuals and teams.

1st place – Ceaira Gill – Health Occupations Professional Portfolio.
1st place – Shyann Parker – Medical Assisting.
1st place – Robbie Parker – Nurse Assisting.
3rd place – Alex Hernandez – Nurse Assisting.
1st place – Natan Rodriegez – Dental Assisting and Basic Health Care Skills.
1st place – Grace Hamm – Photography.
2nd place – Marjorie Caulderon – Photography.
1st place – Ivoree Hickson – Commercial Photography—portrait.
1st place – Alex Rodriguez – CNC Milling Technology.
2nd place – Gabriel Remsburg, Alyssa Gilmore and Nathan Anderson – Engineering Related Design.
