Have you ever dreamed of touring a candy factory, just like the lucky “golden ticket” recipients in “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory?” Well, now might be your chance.

For the first time ever, Just Born Quality Confections, the parent company of everyone’s favorite Easter candy, PEEPS®, is offering a tour of the facility where the iconic marshmallow candies are made.

“Although we’ve had many requests and lots of fans show up at our doors over the years, the PEEPS® factory has never been open to the public,” said Matt Pye, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Just Born Quality Confections in a press release

The PEEPS® Helping Peeps Sweepstakes is open now through April 8. As part of the entry, fans are encouraged to donate five dollars to UWGLV by visiting unitedwayglv.org/peeps or by texting “peepsunited” to 40403.

“We couldn’t think of a better reason to open our doors for the first time ever than by teaming up with our local United Way to help give back to the community that PEEPS® calls home. The winner of our PEEPS® Helping Peeps Sweepstakes will embark upon a once-in-a-lifetime tour of our factory and witness first-hand how our iconic PEEPS® marshmallow is made, all while helping raise funds in support of important community enhancing programs.”

The PEEPS® Helping Peeps Sweepstakes grand prize includes a trip for four to experience the ultimate behind the scenes tour at the PEEPS® Factory, located in Bethlehem, PA.

The grand prize winner will be notified on or about April 12 and will be announced at United Way’s Day of Caring event on April 18.

To enter, donate online by texting “peepsunited” to 40403 or by mail. The contest only allows for one entry for every $5 donated. The sweepstakes are open to participants nationwide and include airfare and hotel if needed.

United Way seeks to improve lives and community conditions by assessing the needs of the community, raising funds and investing in programs, measuring results, and mobilizing people to action. Just Born Quality Confections, the makers of PEEPS®, is a third-generation family-owned business located within the Greater Lehigh Valleywho values their roots by giving back to the community.
