Just after 8 p.m. Monday, first responders were called to a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident in the 2000 block of Hwy 19/24 just south of Paris.
“it is believed that 27-years old Bryan Fullenwider of San Antonio was walking southbound in the roadway when he was struck down by a vehicle,” said DPS Sgt. Mark Tackett.
The vehicle ended up in the ditch after they hit the pedestrian.
Shortly after, another vehicle unaware of the first accident drove over Fullenwider resulting in the person being struck twice.
“The drivers did not report injuries at the time of the crash,” added Tackett.
Paris Fire, EMS, Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Public Safety all attended the scene.
Tackett confirmed that the DPS Trooper, who responded, is still investigating the incident.
