In support of his brand new autobiography and companion CD and DVD, Story of an American Dreamer, which released in June, the unmistakable sound of multi-award-winning recording artist, Jimmy Fortune, will be featured in Paris, TX at the Love Civic Center on Thursday, April 23. This exciting concert event begins at 7:00pm.
For over 21 years Jimmy toured with the legendary Statler Brothers.
Having written multiple mega-hits like Elizabeth, My Only Love, Too Much On My Heart and More Than A Name On A Wall, the popular singer/songwriter has earned awards from the Gospel Music Association, as well as the International Bluegrass Music Association.
In 2007, Jimmy, along with The Statler Brothers were inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and in 2008, they received an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Additionally, the Virginia native was inducted into the Virginia Musical Hall of Fame in 2018.
Since the retirement of The Statler Brothers in 2002, over the past 23 years, Jimmy has established himself as one of country Gospel music’s most popular artists with multiple hit recordings to his credit, including his Hits and Hymns release, which debuted at #10 on Billboard’s Country Album Chart and #6 on Billboard’s Contemporary Christian Chart, while the recording’s DVD debuted at #1 on the Billboard’s Music Video chart.
Additionally, his God and Country recording received the GMA Dove Award for Best Country/Gospel Roots Album of the Year.
This summer’s tour stop will feature songs from Jimmy’s brand new Story of an American Dreamer recording.
