Paris Regional Health’s Internal Medicine Residency Program recently hosted its annual Resident Awards Ceremony, bringing together faculty and staff to recognize the accomplishments of its interns as they completed Post-Graduate Year One and advanced in their residency training.
Each intern received a certificate during the ceremony, marking an important milestone in their medical education and celebrating the dedication, growth and hard work demonstrated throughout their first year of residency.
The event also provided an opportunity to recognize faculty and residents for their contributions throughout the academic year. Awards presented during the ceremony included:
• Faculty Excellence in Teaching — Devabrata Ganguly, MD
• Subspecialty Faculty Excellence in Teaching — Mark Greenwell, MD
• Outstanding Intern of the Year — Samhitha Gurthy, MD
• Outstanding Resident of the Year — Mariana Gil, MD
• Clinical Excellence Award — Shruti Sagar Mahapatra, MD
“Our residents and faculty continue to demonstrate the commitment, professionalism and passion that make this program strong,” said Saji Pillai, MD, Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Paris Regional Health. “This ceremony is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate their progress, recognize outstanding achievement and look ahead to the continued growth of our residency program.”
