Wednesday, September 4 at 11:46am; a female victim stated to a Paris Officer that about a month ago, she made the decision to move to Paris to the 2500 block of Graham Street to further a relationship with a female that she had met on social media. Today, the relationship escalated to the female making threats and leaving a small cut on the victim’s neck by using a kitchen knife. A Felony Aggravated Assault Date-Family-House w/Weapon is under investigation.
Wednesday, September 4 at 7:28pm; a Paris Officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of South Main Street for a security check. Upon my arrival, he made contact with 67-Year-Old Jackie Don Gardner. Gardner appeared to be intoxicated on narcotics and was hallucinating. Dispatch confirmed Gardner had an outstanding warrant out of Lamar County for Felony-Possession of a Controlled Substance. Incident to arrest, Gardner was in possession of Methamphetamine and was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a 3rd Degree Felony and was booked into the Paris Jail.
Wednesday, September 4 at 7:50pm; Paris Dispatch received a call of two male subjects in an abandoned building in the 100 block of SW 7th. A Paris Officer approached the referenced building and observed multiple individuals. One subject was placed on the ground in handcuffs and stood up and began running, as the officer was attempting to detain a second subject. The subject was captured in the general area and was arrested for Evading Arrest Detention. 41- Year-Old Chanda Deann Morris was located hiding in a small closet area. Morris was found in possession of methamphetamine and prescription pills Trazadone and Sulfamethoxazole and was arrested for Felony-Possession of a Controlled Substance-Meth and Misdemeanor Possession of Dangerous Drug.
Wednesday, September 4 at 11:39pm; a traffic stop was initiated in the 600 block of Bonham Street on a Nissan for driving with no lights on. A Paris Officer made contact with the driver, who identified himself as 42-Year-Old Marco Demon Perkins. Perkins was checked through Paris Dispatch and a Felony warrant was confirmed out of the US Marshall’s Service. Perkins was placed under arrest for Cocaine—Sell.
Thursday, September 5 at 1:30am; a Paris Officer observed two individuals digging in a dumpster behind a closed business in 1600 block of Lamar Avenue and made contact. 57-Year-Old Cheryl Lee Feny was checked through Dispatch and a Felony warrant out of Lamar County was confirmed on her for Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was booked into the Paris Jail.
Wednesday, September 4, 2024; Paris Police Department responded to 56 Calls for Service, made 7 Adult Arrest and Initiated 8 Traffic Stops.
