Wednesday, September 4 at 01:59am; a Paris Officer, on routine patrol, observed a Nissan leaving a known high narcotics area and stopped the vehicle in the 1200 block of Northeast 6th Street for the driver for not wearing a seatbelt. Contact was made with driver, 57-Year-Old Ruby Penny Washington. During a consensual search, crushed cocaine and a prescription pill bottle with no name or label, containing five oval-shaped white pills were located. Washington was arrested and booked into the Paris Jail for Felony-Possession of a Controlled Substance-Cocaine and Possession of Controlled Substance-Hydrocodone.
