Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 6:33am; a Paris Officer responded to a burglar alarm in the 3500 block of NE Loop 286 and observed a subject in the parking lot, wearing dark clothing, walking around. The subject, seeing the marked patrol unit, began evading away, ignoring the officer’s commands to stop and speak with him. The officer ran and caught the subject, identified as 33-Year-Old Brittany Nicole Livingston. Dispatch confirmed Livingston was wanted by Lamar County on a Motion to Adjudicate Guilt Warrant. Livingston was additionally arrested for on-view 3rd Degree Felony-Possession of a Controlled Substance-Meth and Class “A”-Evading ArrestDetention and was booked into the Paris Jail.
Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 6:17pm; a victim told a Paris Officer that she had loaned her 2015 black Chrysler 200 vehicle to her cousin. The cousin had exited the running vehicle, with the keys inside, to enter a store in the 2300 block of North Main Street; only to return 10 minutes later, and the vehicle was no longer on the parking lot. The victim was unsure if the vehicle had been repossessed or stolen, due to an earlier conversation with the finance company; but now believes the vehicle to have been stolen due to a notification on her CashApp for an unsuccessful attempt to make a purchase in Avery TX. The vehicle was entered into NCIC/TCIC as stolen.
Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 6:22pm; two subjects approached a Paris Officer in the 2100 block of East Cherry Street, wanting to make a theft report of $100 dollars from an earlier incident. The victim stated during an apartment party Sunday night, he became intoxicated and fell asleep on the couch. A witness had told the victim that she had witnessed the party host remove the victim’s wallet from his back pocket, remove some money, and return the wallet to his back pocket. A Felony Theft from Person Report was taken for investigation.
Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 10:56pm; Paris Officers responded to shots fired. A victim stated on his route, returning home, through the area of SE 20th and Cleveland, a group of 5-8 juvenile males ranging from 14-18 years, threw a container of tomato sauce from Little Caesar’s, towards him. Words were exchanged. The group re-appeared again in the 1800 block of Polk Street. The victim picked up his slingshot and shot a handful of rocks, to stop their advances towards him. The group scattered and one from the group pulled out a gun and shot approximately 4 rounds at him, missing his and striking a vehicle. A Felony Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon is under investigation.
