Thursday October 3, 2024; Paris police received a complaint from a local Auto Dealership that a check from the dealership, which had been submitted to a finance company in August, had been sent to an incorrect address. The check had been received by an unknown suspect, who then changed the amount on the check as well as the payee information and then cashed the check. The forgery paperwork was submitted at the banking institution of the complaining dealership and the incident is under investigation.
Officers made 2 traffic stops, no adult arrest, and answered 78 calls for service for this reporting period.
