Paris Police responded to a theft in the 3500 block of NE Loop 286 at 8:21 A.M. on October 25, 2022. Two victims reported that someone had stolen two firearms from their room. The victims reported that they had been living in that room since the end of September and has not noticed any forced entry into the room. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to a burglary of a vehicle in the 3000 block of Aikin Dr at 1:09 P.M. on October 25, 2022. The victim reported that someone had stolen a pistol out of their unlocked vehicle during the night. The investigation continues.
Paris Police responded to a theft in the 3500 block of Lamar Ave at 6:45 P.M. on October 25, 2022. It was reported that a black female wearing all black had stolen items from one store and was walking south on the sidewalk. Officers located the female and identified her as 32 year old Meaudda Shantrel Symone Jackson of Norman, Oklahoma. Jackson was found to be in possession of stolen items from another store and had abandoned the original stolen items at the second store. Jackson was arrested and charged with theft of over $100 but less than $750. During the arrest, officers found that Jackson had at least two prior convictions for theft so therefore, this charged was enhanced to a felony. Jackson was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
