On Oct. 22, On October 20, The Paris Police Department issued a media release on an incident involving a stolen mobile phone from the 800 block of Deshong Drive, Paris Regional Health. The victim had left her phone in the gift shop and when she returned for it, the phone was gone. Officers tracked an incident of a person using the phone to an address in the 2500 N. Main and obtained video of a subject using the card. A witness advised that if the suspect returned they would contact police. On 10/21/2025, officers were notified that the suspect was at the business again. Officers responded and made contact with Rory Gold Hicks (58) of Paris. Hicks was in possession of three of the victim’s credit cards and was attempting to use one of them at the time of the contact. Officers questioned Hicks, who admitted to use of the cards. Hicks was placed under arrest and charged with Fraudulent Use or Possession of a Credit Card as well as Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse. He was arrested without incident. The case remains currently under investigation.
On Oct. 21, Officers responded to the 800 block of Deshong Dr in regards to a patient not following the directions of personnel, causing a distraction, and having drug paraphernalia. Officers made contact with Dmarshae Leontay Jenkins (28) who was found to have a pipe for the smoking of narcotics in his waistband. Jenkins also informed officers that he had methamphetamine on his person. The narcotics were recovered and the suspect was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was booked without incident.
On Oct. 21, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of SW 7th in regards to Angela Beth Villines (37) having an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant. Villines was located via an ankle monitor. She was contacted, identified, and arrested without incident.
On Oct. 21, Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Bonham St. in response to an Assault. The officers met a 54 year old victim who advised that they had been assaulted by an unknown Latino Male. The victim stated they had been given a ride by the suspect who was to bring them home but that the suspect did not bring them directly home, stopping across the street and making sexual advances towards them. The victim reported that the suspect had choked them and they feared for their life. A passerby interrupted the suspect and the victim went home, followed by the suspect. A roommate confronted the suspect and made him leave. Officers collected evidence and obtained witness statements from the victim and the roommate. The incident is under investigation.
On Oct. 21, Paris Patrol officers conducting follow up on a Burglary of Business occurring in the 3700 block of Lamar on October 19, made contact with subjects fitting the suspect description in the 3700 block of Pine Mill Rd. After questioning the subjects, officers were granted permission to search a residence at 3700 Pine Mill Rd. where they recovered numerous items stolen in the burglary. The property and other evidence was collected and arrest will be forthcoming.
On Oct. 22, Officers responded to the 1800 block of E. Booth in regards to a Terroristic Threat. A victim advised that her ex-husband had come to the residence where she is staying with a friend and had pointed a gun and her and the friend, threatening to kill them. Officers attempted to locate the suspect but could not locate him at that time. The victim requested an emergency protective order and officers filed the request. The case is currently under investigation. As of this time, the suspect is still at large.
Officers made 22 traffic stops, 8 adult arrest, and answered 117 calls for service during this reporting period.
