Monday, October 21, 2024; Officers responded the 1600 block of NW Loop 286 in regards to assisting Paris EMS. Upon arrival they found that an individual had become ill at the location and was being transported to a hospital by the EMS staff. The EMS staff had observed what appeared to be narcotics inside the patient’s vehicle. Officers checked the vehicle and found narcotics as well as prescription medications in the vehicle as well as paraphernalia used for the smoking of methamphetamine. The patient was transported to Paris Regional Medical Center, the narcotics were taken into evidence. Due to the patient/suspect’s health emergency, no charges were filed.
Monday, October 21, 2024; The department received a report of a stolen firearm from an address in the 200 block of SE 16th. The victim had the weapon in a safe, but had the keys near the safe. Victim reported that the known suspect had been arrested while in possession of the firearm. The firearm was confirmed to be in the custody of the department and the owners information was added to the initial report involving the firearm.
Officers made 6 traffic stops, 1 adult arrest, and answered 108 calls for service for this reporting period.
