On Oct. 19 at 7 p.m., officers arrested Tracey Janette Brown in the 3800 block of Lamar for theft of meat, a value of approximately 30.00 upon booking it was found that Brown had 2 or more convictions for theft in the past. She was booked for theft under 2500.00 with 2 or more convictions.
On Oct. 19 at 3:59 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle in the 3700 block of Lamar Avenue. The driver, Shane Lee McCann, was known to the officers. McCann gave a false name. claiming to be another subject. A warrant check revealed that McCann was wanted on a warrant for probation violation. McCann was arrested for Failure to ID as a Fugitive and for the initial warrant of Motion to Revoke his probation. A vehicle inventory located methamphetamine as well as checks and credit cards belonging to other individuals. McCann was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Fraudlulent Use of Identifying Information.
On Oct. 19 at 11:10a.m., a traffic stop in the 200 block of 16th SE placed officers in contact with several individuals, one of whom was identified as Monica Lorraine Mitchell. Officers smelled burning marijuana in the vehicle and the vehicle was subsequently searched. In the glovebox of the vehicle, which belonged to Mitchell, officers located a bag with numerous credit cards not belonging to Mitchell. She was arrested for Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information. There were at least 10 victims to the stolen credit cards.
On Oct. 19 at 4:44 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of NE 38th where they arrested Richard Christian Simble for a Terroristic Threat to a Family Member. Simble made threatening statements threatening to kill the family member. He admitted to the statements. Due to previous acts of violence, Simble was charged and arrested.
On Oct. 19 at 9:06 a.m., officers received a call of a DWI in the George Wright Homes Area. They made contact with a vehicle matching the suspect description at that location. They made contact with John Allen Simmons Jr. who was seated in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Simmons was found to be in possession of prescription medications for which he had no prescription. He was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and taken to jail.
