Wednesday, October 16, 2024; Officers received a report of a Burglary of Motor Vehicle in the 3600 block of Castlegate. The victim’s unlocked vehicle was entered and a handgun, jewelry, and change was stolen. The firearm was later recovered from the juvenile suspects after they attempted to purchase accessories at a local business and the department was notified.
Wednesday, October 16, 2024; In a separate incident, a laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3500 block of Ruby Way.
Wednesday, October 16, 2024; Officers arrested Tamaron Dayshawn Robinson (29) and charged her with Criminal Trespassing and Criminal Mischief after she was caught inside a closed business in the 600 block of Bonham St. Robinson had damaged a large amount of property in the business after breaking a front window with a large rock and making entry. Robinson was arrested without incident.
Thursday, October 17, 2024; The department was notified of an attempted Fraud. A complainant from Richmond Indiana notified reporting officer that an individual had attempted to pass a forged check from the business at a local credit union. The incident is one of several that the complainant has reported to various agencies nationwide. A report was completed and an investigation will proceed.
