On Oct. 17 at 4:50 p.m., Officers responded to the 800 block of SW 6th about an assault. The victim told them that Nathan Crutchfield, who had been living at the residence, had attacked her as she slept and had placed his hand over their mouth, cutting off their breath. The victim had minor injuries which supported her claim. Crutchfield had fled the scene prior to officers arrival but was located in the area and detained. He was then arrested after further investigation and charged with Assault to a Family Member or Household member by impeding breath. He was transported, booked, and jailed.
On Oct. 17 at 1:42 p.m., A traffic stop in the 1800 block of W. Austin brought officers into contact with a passenger in a vehicle who identified himself as Joshua Sessums. Further investigation revealed that the subject was actually David Paul Goss. Goss was found to be wanted on a Lamar County Warrant. He was also in possession of numerous other individuals property including wallets and identifying documents. Goss was arrested and charged with Fail to Identify as a Fugitive from Justice and Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information. He was also arrested on the county warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance.
On Oct. 18 at 03:30 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the 4000 block of Shannon Drive where he made contact with Constance Williams who was knocking on doors of a residence there. Once the officer made contact with the resident, it was found that Williams had been warned to not return to the property. She was arrested for Criminal Trespassing and booked into jail.
On Oct. 17 at 11:57 a.m., an Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Bonham St about a stolen trailer. The victim said that they had been moving property from the address and had left their Ironworks Dump Trailer on the property on October 14th. when he returned on the 17th the trailer was gone. He listed a possible suspect. The trailer was entered as stolen and the Auto Theft Task Force was notified and will continue follow up.
