On Oct. 10, Officers responded to the 3700 block of Pine Mill Rd in regards to a Harassment/Stalking report. Upon contact with the victim, it was discovered that a known 45 year old suspect who the 18 year old victim had been in a relationship with had been coming to the residence uninvited and beating on the victim’s window. The suspect had also confronted the victim on her porch, and had grabbed her by the throat and choked her. This was reported to have happened on other incidents as well. A protective order was requested for the victim and the case is under investigation.
On Oct. 10, Officers investigated a Burglary of Habitation in the 2900 block of Clarksville St. The victim advised her ex boyfriend had entered her apartment through a window and had destroyed two of her television sets. The victim advised that the suspect had spoken to her about the incident and had been upset that she had friends at the residence when he wasn’t there. The incident is under investigation.
On Oct. 11, the department was advised of a Fraud incident which had occurred involving a victim from the 200 block of NW 31st. The victim was contacted by an individual claiming to be with the “Chime” cash app. The victim provided banking information to the individual who then proceeded to illegally take over $2000.00 from the victim’s account. The officers collected information and evidence and the case is under investigation.
On Oct. 11, Officers responded to a call of an Aggravated Robbery in the 900 block of W. Center. The victim advised officers that a subject that they know casually had been at the residence with another known individual. The suspect had produced a handgun and had robbed the victim of a large amount of cash. The suspect had reportedly robbed the other acquaintance at the residence of a cell phone and then left in the other victim’s vehicle. As officers worked the incident, the victim began changing details but still alleged that the suspect robbed them of the cash. The incident was documented and Detectives of the Paris Police Department will be following up on the incident.
Officers made 40 traffic stops, 12 adult arrest, and answered 298 calls for service during this reporting period.
