Wednesday, October 9, 2024; the 2015 black Chrysler 200 reported stolen on Tuesday, from the 2300 block of North Main Street was recovered in Vicksburg, Mississippi, occupied with one male subject, who was placed under arrest. Detectives with the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force will follow-up investigating.
Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 12:58pm; while patrolling in the 2500 block of Bonham Street, a Paris Officer recognized 47-Year-Old Shanna Rachelle Shilling of Bonham Texas, driving a white Kia Sorento; knowing she had an outstanding Felony warrant out of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office for Motion to Revoke Probation-Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse, initiated a stop, confirmed the warrant, and placed Shilling under arrest.
Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 5:08pm; Paris Dispatch notified a Lieutenant that Grand Prairie PD had recovered a firearm reported stolen to the department in January 2021 from the 3600 block of Castlegate Drive. The Taurus firearm had been recovered at Joe Pool Lake.
Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 9:50pm; Paris Officers took a Felony Arson and a Class “A” Terroristic Threat report for further investigation after a subject living in the woods, behind a residence in the 500 block of NE 12th, set something on fire in a small pot; approached the residence with the pot in hand, and abruptly dropped the pot and run back into the woods as the residents stepped outside the door. The Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. The subject had made earlier threats that she would set the residence and a vehicle on fire.
