On Nov. 4, Officers responded to an accident in the 400 block of 35th NE. One of the involved parties was found to be wanted on felony charges out of Red River County. Teresa Ann Taylor (60) of Dallas Texas was arrested on warrants for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Theft of Materials to wit: Aluminum/Bronze/Copper/Brass, a Felony. She was processed without incident and transported to Lamar County Jail.
On Nov. 4, Officers responded to a report of Burglary of Habitation. Sometime between October 30, 2025 and the report date, a shed on the property of a house under construction in the 1200 block of Bonham St. had numerous appliances and other furnishings stolen. Items included hot water heaters, appliances (washer/dryer), bathroom fixtures, mirrors, chandeliers, etc. The items were secured in a shed with the access points boarded up. Suspects tore off the boards and entered the shed then stole the property. Officers prepared a report with the limited information available and the incident is under investigation.
On Nov. 4, Officers responded to a house fire in the 1100 block of E. Grove St. to find the residence completely engulfed in flames. The fire department responded and engaged the blaze. After the fire was extinguished, fire personnel located a body within the residence. The Paris Fire Department Fire Marshall was notified and requested assistance from the Paris Police Criminal Investigations Division. Paris Detectives are currently investigating the incident. At this time no further information is available for release.
On Nov. 4, a Burglary of a Vehicle was reported in the 1900 block of N. Main. The owner advised that the vehicle had been parked there for some time and that he recently noticed that the doors were open and the vehicle had been gone through. The only item he confirmed as missing was a handgun. The information for the firearm was obtained and the firearm was entered in data bases as stolen. There are no known suspects.
Officers made 12 traffic stops, 4 adult arrest, and answered 92 calls for service during this reporting period.
